Site description
Chamau is located in a lowland broad river valley of the Reuss River. It is one of the three ETH research stations. Eddy covariance flux measurements were started at the end of 2005.

The area is located on tertiary molasse. The Reuss-valley is filled with postglacial retreating rubble («Rückzugsschottern»)of the Reuss glacier
